Playlist

The following list attempts to record all of the musical pieces known to have been played in concert by the Municipal Band of Charlottesville from its first public performance in 1923 down to the present. Also included is information about pieces performed by the Band’s various ensemble groups, when performed as a part of a regularly scheduled concert or recital. This information is taken from concert programs, newspaper accounts, conductor’s notes and other reliable sources. At present, this listing is not complete, especially for music performed prior to 1960. It is hoped that further research into the historical records of the Band will provide additional information regarding the Band’s concert repertoire over the years.
