Cville Band Plays Summer at PVCC7:30 pm
PVCC Dickinson Building
Our 101st season continues with an indoor summer show in PVCC’s Dickinson Theater. Come hear some new works along with some old favorites. Our soloists this evening are Geri Carlson Sauls, who will be singing “Someone to Watch Over Me,” and “They Can’t Take That Away From Me,” and trumpeter Mike Watkins, will be the soloist in Mozart’s Alleluia from Exsultate Jubilate. Bring your family and enjoy one of the Band’s favorite venues. And be sure to arrive early as PVCC’s auditorium only seats 499 audience members!
Geri Carlson Sauls is thrilled to have the chance to sing with The Charlottesville Band! Locally she has performed with Salute to Swing, as well as in multiple musical productions with Four County Players and Live Arts, as well as special cabarets with DMR. When not on stage, she has directed/choreographed multiple musicals for the past 25 years. She has always loved the American Songbook and appreciates the chance to sing them with such an amazing band.
Mike Watkins is a software developer supporting the transportation and logistics industry. He earned a Bachelor of Music from Indiana University and an MBA from the University of Central Florida. Mike took a 30-year hiatus from regular playing to raise a family but has rediscovered the joy of being an amateur musician.
